The 2010 Zine Symposium!

The Zine Symposium in Brick Lane turned out well. We had a half a table there under the name 'this bombardment society' with a collection of various zines by me,adrian, george, luke and fine art graduates of Kingston Uni. Here's some pictures of the event (mainly us looking really tired)

I got lots of free stuff too as well as some cute little zines with cats and dogs on. The free table was good and I put five of my zines on there to see if anyone took any and they were all gone within half an hour - yay! Anyway, was good and we're hoping to do more events like that in the future.

Mundane Facts

In less than a months time,I have to pack up all my stuff and move out of halls. I'm looking around me at all the junk and wondering what sort of mammoth task I've got ahead of me. Also,at work today I had to clean the inside and outside of a bin (with a spoon).

Adrian bought me the best book EVER

The Adventures of A & K

I'm hoping to make a series of drawings spawning from 'the adventures of A & K'. This is one I found in my sketchbook. Anyone who knows me can pretty much guess, who the main characters, A and K are.

Photos!

I've got myself a little project at the moment,in between full time work. My mum sent me at least 20 undeveloped films last month and my uni has the facility where you can get the films developed into negatives and scan them into the computer. So far I've only developed three films and here are some of the results. They're really cute - I hope they are all cute like these ones.

The first photo is my old cat oscar,my brother and I playing in the snow and at christmas!

Pavement and Broken Social SceneGig

It was Brixton academy, london for the BSS/Pavement Gig on thursday night with my boyfriend. I'm not a massive massive fan,he's more of a fan than me. Pavement were best at the beginning and BBS were good throughout but they didn't play KC Accidental :( which is probably the only song I know really well and like.
overall a fun gig with huge balloons and crazy lighting.

Gosh! Comics

If anyone is in the Tottenham Court Road area soon, you should definitely check out Gosh! Comics. I bought two really nice 'graphic novels' . I bought Jeffrey Brown's new book 'undeleted scenes' and 'Johnny Boo Twinkle Power' by James Kochalka. It was like a sweet shop to me. If I'm buying a comic book,I'll tend to go for the autobiographical stuff. Although,I really wanted to buy a Chris Ware Sketchbook filled will the best drawings and observational sketches EVER.
I really enjoyed my mini shopping trip in London yesterday,I got to treat myself and then we got lost in one of the camden markets and it was vintage clothes everywhere!

She & Him at KoKo,camden

Went to She&Him gig last night in Camden and Zooey Daschanel was looking as sexy as ever.
This isn't my video, but is a nice recording of their second encore, which is phenominal!

End of Year Exhibition Opening Night

It is that time already when we have to gather all our first year work together, get it assessed and put up an exhibition. Tonight was our exhibition opening night and it was a nice little night. I didn't stay too long but I found some hidden gems in the exhibition that I really liked. Here's some pictures from the night.
